The closest station is Chafford Hundred. From there the walk to us will take around 15 minutes.
By car
The nearest parking is Lakeside car park D. You can also find dedicated disabled parking spaces in car park 10/blue and car park 4.
By taxi
Hackney Carriage Taxis can be found next to Hollywood Bowl on the Quay after 22:30.

What is BOOM BATTLE BAR?
We’re glad you asked. BOOM BATTLE BAR is the UK’s first and only battle bar. Inside our venues you’ll find a selection of adrenaline-pumping games alongside our lengthy line up of all of your favourite drinks and cocktails. Plus, a delicious selection of yummy street food. We’ve really got it all under one roof.
Where is BOOM BATTLE BAR?
We’ve got 30 locations in the UK. The venue in Lakeside is located at Lakeside shopping centre, Units 2-5, West Thurrock Way, Essex, RM20 2ZP. We’re just across from Vue Cinema. Find out how to get to us here.

Is there an age limit?
Our venue is strictly 18+ after 8pm. Before these times under 18s are absolutely welcome but must be supervised by an adult. Note some of our games have age restrictions too so it’s worth checking the game pages for the deets.
Do I have to book games to come in?
Not at all! Our games are epic and defo worth trying, but you’re more than welcome to swing by just for food and drinks. Whether you’re in for the full experience or just fancy a cocktail and a bite, we’ve got you covered.
BOOKING QUERIES
Do I need to book to come to BOOM BATTLE BAR?
You don’t need to pre-book to come into any of our venues. Walk-ins are welcome! If you would like to play games though we do recommend pre-booking as we can’t guarantee slots will be available on the day. Oh and yes, you can just come for food and drinks if you want to.
I need to cancel my booking. Can I get a refund?
Our bookings are non-refundable, but we get that life happens. If you’ve had an emergency and can’t make your original slot, just get in touch on 01708252252 or email us at [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll do our best to reschedule your booking for another time.
Can I add another person to my booking?
Yes, as long as it doesn’t exceed the maximum number of players for that game. If you’re adding more than the game allows or you’ve booked a game which is priced per person, you’ll need to book an additional game slot or person onto the booking. To make any changes, just give us a call on 01708252252 or email us at [email protected] and we’ll get it sorted.
Can I get a refund if someone in my group doesn’t turn up?
We’re sorry, but we’re unable to offer refunds for any no-shows.
Can I book more games on the night?
Absolutely, as long as we’ve got space! We always recommend booking in advance to lock in your spot, but if you’re feeling the buzz and want to keep the fun going, just chat to one of our team on the night. We’ll do our best to squeeze you in.
What if I’m running late?
We’re unable to make changes to booking times within 24 hours of your visit; things get pretty busy and we want to keep everything running smoothly. That said, it’s worth letting us know at [email protected] and if we have space later in the day, we’ll do our best to fit you in.
Can I book online and pay a deposit?
All online bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking; we’re not able to take deposits. You’re welcome to walk in and book games on the day, but please note we can’t guarantee availability or hold any spaces without a confirmed online booking.
I’ve booked and haven’t received a booking confirmation, what shall I do?
Please check your confirmation isn’t lurking in your junk box. If it’s not there please drop us an email to [email protected] with the name, date and time you booked under, and our team can have it resent.

How long do games last?
Game durations vary depending on the activity and time slot you’ve booked. You’ll find all the details in your confirmation email — and if you’re still unsure, feel free to get in touch with our team. Just a heads-up: your time slot includes a quick briefing from us before you play, so you’re fully clued up and ready to go!
Can I come in a large group?
Absolutely, we love a big group! You can book multiple games or add extra players online, and there are savings to be had when you roll in with the crew.
If you’re planning for more than 40 people, just get in touch at [email protected] or call us on 01708252252 and we’ll get everything sorted for you. We also offer ready-made packages for stags, hens, birthdays, and corporate events, so whatever you’re planning, we’ve got you covered.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! We’re a great spot for family fun. Under 18s are welcome at our Lakeside venue until 8pm, and we’ve got plenty of soft drinks and tasty street food to keep everyone happy. Just a heads-up; some games have age restrictions, so be sure to check out our Games page for the full breakdown before booking and all under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
Do I need to bring ID?
If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, first of all, congrats. Secondly, yes, you’ll need to bring valid ID. We operate a Challenge 25 policy in all our venues, so if you’re asked and can’t show ID, we won’t be able to serve you. Also, if you’re under 16, you’ll need to be with an adult at all times during your visit. Best to bring your ID just in case as no one wants to miss out on the fun!
Where do I send feedback about my visit?

Can we stick around after we’re finished playing?
Oh, absolutely, and trust us, you’re going to want to. Our team will be serving up epic cocktails and BOOM Bites before, during, and after your games. So grab a table, keep the good vibes going, and make a night of it!
Can I bring my dog?
As much as we love a furry friend, dogs and dartboards don’t mix, so we’ve got a no dogs policy in venue. Of course, guide dogs are always welcome.
I’ve left something of mine behind! What shall I do?
For all lost property enquiries please email [email protected] or pop into our venue to see the team. Our team will try their best to re-unite you and your things!
Can I buy gift cards?
Absolutely! We offer both physical gift cards and e-vouchers, and they make the perfect gift for any occasion, from birthdays and team rewards to just because. Get all the deets here.
Do you take cash?
We’re a cashless venue, so all payments need to be made by card or contactless. You can order food and drinks via the QR code on the tables, with one of our table staff, or directly at the bar with a debit/credit card.

Absolutely! Whether you’re after full-venue vibes or a private area for your crew, we’ve got you covered. Just drop us a line at [email protected] and we’ll tailor the perfect setup for your bash.
Are you able to decorate areas for occasions?
Want to make it extra? We’re here for it. If you’d like to bring decorations or want us to help dress the space, get in touch before your booking at [email protected]. We’ll do our best to make your celebration pop. (Heads up: please don’t show up with decor unannounced as we’d hate to have to say no!)
